So last night I got home from work in record time and proceeded over to Ace’s to work out. There were a few people in the gym when we got there so we were forced to do the elliptical machine instead of the treadmill. It’s just as well because it was a MUCH better workout. We each did about 40 minutes on the elliptical trainer, mixing our inclines throughout. Then we did a cool-down on the treadmills (which had opened up by that time) for about five minutes. But that’s not all! Ace hit the weights while I did 50 situps – but not the typical “lay on the floor” situps. No, this is a machine where you hang by your forearms, push your back against a board and bring your legs UP. It works all of your stomach muscles as well as your arms, since you are holding your full weight up off the ground. Let me tell you – my stomach is killing me. But in a good way.
