Stealing a link once again from Jen Speaks. This time around it’s a site about birth order. I’m the second born of two kids. Supposedly I am like the following (my comments in italics):
Strategies for survival: Perfectionism, Logic perfection no, logic YES!
Felt Loss: Emotions
Sense of Justice: Necessity
Thought Pattern: Evaluation Some would say too much
T-shirt: “That won’t work, it’s not good enough.”
Childhood Behavior: Deceptive, Critical They forgot “sarcastic”
Emotional Expression: Controlled, Intense
Source of Anger: Criticism Absolutely!
Nature of Humor: Dry Like a martini, baby!
Means of Relating: Correction
Spirituality: Self-discipline, Living by rules
Relational: Sensitive to others’ anger, Peacemaker
The Child Within: Neglected My child within got a little too much play from age 21-27, so I’m giving her a rest
Type of Procrastination: Puts things off till they can be done perfectly More like – put things off til they don’t have to be done at all
Blind spot: Others’ emotions I disagree – I’m usually in tune with other people’s emotions
Boundaries: Defined by rules
A walk in the woods: Watches ground around the feet, may go around in circles
Careers: Accounting, Banking, Art, Carpentry, Decorating, Receptionist, Secretary, Teaching, Writing Novels Ugh – is that why I’m an admin asst? Cuz I’m second born? Although I DID want to be a teacher at one time and I’ve always wanted to write The Great American Novel
Strengths: Self-discipline, Honesty, Determination
Parenting: Insists of obedience to the rules What’s so funny is that what I’ve been saying since CootieGirl was born is “Teach her to obey and you don’t have to worry about the rest.”
Marriage: Puts spouse, family ahead of self
As Friend: Offers constructive criticism Even when not asked for!
Social Contributions: Art, financial institutions, completed projects
Expression of Love: Constructive criticism
Driving Style: Drives angrily because others do not follow the rules *lol* So true. But I’m a more defensive driver now that I have “precious cargo”…*goes to puke at cheesy comment*
Listening Style: Listens for mistakes
Common Phrase: “You need to…”
Responds To: “This may not be perfect, but….”
So yeah, that’s pretty much me to a T.
