Ace came over this weekend with “The Alamo”, starring Dennis Quaid and Billy Bob Thornton. I admit that I don’t know a lot of the history behind the Alamo, and I also know that the movie took great liberties with factual history (don’t ALL so-called “historical” movies do that?), but that didn’t make this movie any less entertaining.
I don’t know why the critics hated it so much – I didn’t think it was that bad. But then again, I saw it for free and had nothing better to do that afternoon. I suppose my expectations were a little low for that one.
2 1/2 stars out of five.
