What most of you don’t know is that my 33rd birthday is coming up in a few weeks. Now, I’m not ashamed to admit to being 33 years old, but I am ashamed to admit that I have little to show for my 33 years. No big accomplishments, really. And when you go to a page like this one and see what others accomplished in the same time, and you’ll see why I feel like a bit of wasted space today. So what am I gonna do about it? Well, I’ll tell you.
Since a few authors just began their writing careers at the age of 32, I’ve decided to give it a whirl. I actually started My Great American Novel a few months ago and after fleshing out the characters and a potential storyline I just kind of quit. But I’m going to dig out those notes and begin writing again. I’ve taken a stab at fanfiction before and gotten some nice feedback, so I must be a somewhat decent writer. So I’m going to give it a shot. I hope to have a completed novel by my 34th birthday, and then I’ll try to get it published.
