No, not Big Time Rush (although they really are, and my children have asked to go (they are not going (although I’ve thought about it (don’t laugh))) Oh my gosh, y’all! I just bought three tickets to next Wednesday’s show. FOR REALS.).
Ahem. My grandmother! That’s who!
A few days ago I got a call from one of the places that had her on a waiting list, and they announced they had a spot for her if she wanted it! I sent an email to my dad, my aunt and my uncle to find out what they thought, and they all agreed that it might be a better living situation for GGma to be in Charlotte.
I’m obviously in complete agreement. The place is fabulous – it’s the one that has tons of activities, is more like an apartment complex than minimum assisted living, and allows her to be independent but still monitored. Once the family confirmed they were on board, I called the place back and said, “Yes, please!”
My grandmother is very excited, as am I. Over the next six weeks she’ll be downsizing for the second time in a year, and I can’t wait to have her be so close by to us.
Pity she won’t be here in time to see Big Time Rush. Just kidding. She’s more of a Bieber fan.
