Ding Dong, Jay London’s Gone

Last night Denis and I got to watch Tuesday’s edition of “Last Comic Standing” and I can’t tell you how pleased I am that Jay London got the boot. Yes, I know he’s a nice man, if a bit weird, but HE’S NOT FUNNY. And the audience rightly voted Gary Gulman to go forward another week (89% of the vote!). I loved Gary Gulman’s routine – what’s great about him is that he talks about stuff we ALL experienced – anyone in their late 20s to early 40s, which, let’s face it – is the main audience at a comedy club anyway.

  1. I voted for Jay three times and knew immediately he wouldn’t win. I got through way to easily on the phone (I’m sure that some other people may have noticed too). Anyway, I plan to vote for John Heffron next week. I’ve seen him on other shows and he’s very funny.

  2. JAY IS THE FUNNIEST PERSON ON THE SHOW! NO ONE ELSE DESERVES TO WIN! JAY WILL GET A GIG ANYWHERE HE WANTS! HES THAT DAMN FUNNY

  3. I didn’t know who was gonna win that they’re my
two favs. And yes, Jay is funny. Infact, he’s
a freakin’ genius. I don’t think Gary is typical
either. Both of them weren’t afraid to get up
there and try new material, which is why they
didn’t win in the end, sadly, because you can’t
really know what people like until you try it
and you don’t deliver something perfectly the first time you do it infront of an audience.
