Ouch! Tae Bo Hurts

So this morning was Synergy, and oh my word it was painful. this morning we did Tae Bo for the first time. It was only a 20 minute workout but I haven’t been this sore in a LONG LONG time. It was the 20-minute basic workout but it was NOT basic by any stretch of the word.

We actually did the 20-minute One Mile workout by Leslie Sansone’s Walk Away the Pounds as a lead-in. Then we put in Mr. Blanks’ tape. And for the next 20 minutes it was complete pain and humiliation. The six of us had to stretch, kick, punch and basically jump around doing moves we have never done before.

Needless to say it was slow, and sweaty. But we were … continue on, dear reader!

Walk Away the Pounds

At this morning’s Synergy we did a 3-mile Walk Away the Pounds video. It was the first time most of the women did it and I could tell they all really liked it. Tomorrow I plan on making an announcement at church that we’re doing a no-impact workout in February and encourage women to come that ordinarily wouldn’t think about coming.

In other news, I weighed myself (I know, I should wait until my weigh-in day, which is Tuesday). I’ve already lost 2.5 pounds. How awesome is that? I’ve hardly been trying – I’ve been eating the same things, but I haven’t been snacking or eating when I’m bored. That’s obviously making a big difference.

This morning’s Synergy workout went well. There were seven of us and we did the same aerobic tape we’ve been using since the beginning. It’s finally getting easier for us to do this particular tape, but I’m going to do it another two Saturdays in order for the less fluid people to feel like they really got a grasp on the movements. Then I’ll switch to another tape.

Getting into the office this morning was interesting. I unlocked the door and instead of hearing the alarm beep, I heard “Attention! Please leave! The alarm is going and the police have been called! Exit immediately!” I quickly typed in the code on the alarm and the alarm continued acting as though I was an intruder. Now … continue on, dear reader!

Today was the first workout of my women’s exercise group at church. I got to the office around 8 a.m. and started setting up. I was hoping that we’d have a tv rack there already, but I guess Christopher didn’t have time, so instead we put it on someone’s desk and hooked up the VCR. It ended up being okay but I definitely want it higher next time.

Ten women showed up, as well as me, so it was a nice group for the first workout. Three more would have come but two were out of town and the third was sick, so I’m happy that it seems like it’ll work.

We did one of my old Kathy Smith workout videos. I’ve never done the … continue on, dear reader!
