Food Delivered

I forgot to tell everyone that Denis delivered the 62 cans of pet food to the shelter last week since they had limited hours. He didn’t take pictures, but he did mention that he would like to get another cat to add to our menagerie. I immediately went online and found a red kitty they have listed. However, we are still in discussion over whether we really want to do it.

My family was horrified at the thought of us adding another cat, but our opinion is: once you have four cats, is one more really that bad? I’m a crazy cat lady, sure, but I’m not a krazy kat lady like those women that have 82 cats of various health wandering through their house … continue on, dear reader!

Who Knew?

So I was checking my sitemeter stats and found a LOT of visits from Blogathon.org, so I clicked on over and sure enough I was nominated for “Most Enthusiastic” blog. Don’t know who nominated me, but thanks! I can only presume my nomination came from the number of posts I made (which was almost double the required amount) as opposed to content (since we all know that sucked).

Voting is now open (voters can only be folks who participated in the Blogathon). My category competition is fierce, but hopefully I’ll get a few votes nonetheless.

For those visiting from Blogathon.org, my continuous posts about the movies “Taxi” and “Blade: Trinity” as well as the abundant posts about my kids can be found over continue on, dear reader!

Pet Food

Denis told me over the weekend that he bought the pet food I needed to give to Bloomfield Animal Shelter for the Blogathon. I said, “So does this mean you didn’t read my post in which I said I bought 32 cans for donation?”

“Nope,” he said.

“Then we are donating 62 cans to the animal shelter?”

“Looks that way!”

“Excellent!”

I found out today the shelter has really limited hours so Denis will be taking the food by on Wednesday.

My Donation to Heifer

I just made my donation to Heifer. I donated $30 towards tree seedlings, a share in a pig and a share in a sheep. This weekend is busy, but I think I’ll be able to drop of 30 cans of pet food on Saturday afternoon after the kids wake up from their afternoon naps.

To My Sponsors

In the next day or so you’ll receive an email from the folks at Blogathon to remind you to make your sponsorship donation. Just click on the Heifer link to the right in the menu bar. Click into Heifer’s catalog and you’ll see a list of the things you can sponsor. Prices vary, and as I said – if you charged an “uneven” amount (i.e., $5 or $15 as opposed to $10 or $20) I will be making up the difference with my own donation to Heifer.

And I’m happy to announce that I’m going to donate 30 cans of pet food to my local animal shelter – I’ll try to remember to take a camera with me to take pictures so you can see … continue on, dear reader!

Cleaned up and Surprisingly Refreshed!

It’s amazing what a shower can do! Once again I’ve taken a 10 minute shower, 9:30 of it being nice and hot and the last 30 seconds being cold. I’m awake and ready to start my day.

I now have my makeup on and I’m half dressed. All that’s left is to put on pants, socks and shoes, put my hair in a headband and I’ll hit the road for church.

Too Much Energy

CootieGirl is now drawing on scraps of paper and hollering down the stairs to show Daddy the pictures. “I did it!” she cries out in joy, waving the post-it note in front of her.

And with that I head downstairs to take my shower. See you in 30 minutes. I’ll have one more post at 8 a.m. and then my last two posts will be via my PDA at church while I’m setting up equipment.

Then church. :sing:
Then home. :thud:
Then sleeeeeeeeeepppppp.

“Peter Pan”

Well the movie just ended. I love that movie! CootieGirl and Denis have joined me here in the attic. I’ve already warned Denis that after church I will be hitting the sack alongside CootieGirl. And I’m definitely going to bed when the kids do tonight.

In the meantime, CootieGirl is incredibly bright-eyed this morning. Is she ALWAYS this cheery and cute in the morning?

I hear movement downstairs which leads me to believe that Denis is up, and that means that CootieGirl and CootieBoy might also be awake and ready to start their day.

Twenty minutes left in the movie and I hit the showers for wakey-wakey.

Two and 1/2 hours left in the Blogathon!

I really love this version of “Peter Pan” – it is just really fun and whimsical for kids and yet serious and and clever for adults. I love Tinkerbell.

Problems!

I’m having real problems with this DVD playing. And I just took it out of the wrapper a few minutes ago! I blame the player, which isn’t the one I used for the other two movies.

On a side note, I’m going to have to add Jason Isaacs to my fake boyfriend list, if he isn’t there already.

No Third Movie After All?

Well, I can’t get “Peter Pan” to run on this DVD player. But I don’t want to put in “Danger UXB” because that’s a quiet miniseries and won’t keep me awake.

Yes, I admit that my eyes are starting to get bleary and itchy.

Update at 5:19 a.m.: It wanted me to load up their specific software to watch the DVD. I’ve done that (InterActual) and am now watching the DVD previews.
