Blue Eyes, Part Deux

I forgot to come back yesterday and give you an update on the contact lenses. I called EyeDrx back and spoke to a woman “in the lab” (yeah, right) who said, “Your lenses were not ordered because you were supposed to call us back after using the trial lenses for a few days and let us know that the prescription was okay so that we could process your order for the official lenses.” Unh-unh. Nice try, sunshine.

I told her, “No, I was given the trial lenses to use while I waited for my regular lenses to come in. I was not told to call back to verify that I wanted them.”

What galls me is that I’ve been calling them for three months to check in and make sure that they are on top of things, and Brad, my so-called contact at EyeDrx, never told me that they WEREN’T EVEN ORDERED YET.

So after stewing about it all night I’ve decided to call them back and just cancel the order with them altogether and stick with the ones I ordered from Lens1st. So it’s official – add Eye Drx to the “List of Companies I Hate” (which includes such notables as Enterprise Car Rental and Hyundai).

  1. What is wrong with Hyundai? I love the SONATA!

And why isn’t your “List of Companies I Hate” listed on the left side of your page? Am I missing it?

  2. lp, I haven’t actually MADE A “List of Companies I Hate” page – it was merely a figure of speech. If you’d like to me create one, let me know and I’ll get right on it!

As for Hyundai, I had a Hyundai Elantra for 6 years and it was CRAP. C-R-A-P. I’ll never stray from Toyota again.

  3. Enterprise, no thanks – I’ve financed cars with less paperwork and fuss. Thrifty (LAX) on the otherhand is simply vile.

Messed up reservation, blaming me for a lost hubcap (wasn’t there to begin with), terrible service and craptacular cars… Had I wanted a sub-subcompact, I would’ve brought along a Matchbox car.
