From an article in Yahoo News:
In a USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll last weekend, 91% of Republicans and 17% of Democrats approved of the job Bush is doing. No other president has had as big a gap since Gallup began measuring job approval by party in 1948.
The numbers are “ironic for a guy who came into office pledging to be ‘a uniter, not a divider,’ ” said Stephen Hess, a presidential scholar at the Brookings Institution, a liberal-leaning think tank.
It’s going to be good having a new president in office in a few months. Hang on folks, it’s going to get better. I promise.
