We’re Here to Make The Pigs Itch

Lazy Saturday

Posted on | December 20, 2008 | Comments Off

Today has been a nice mix of laziness and productivity.

Denis went to have his van worked on and I slept in. The kids played together for a while while I surfed the net, and then asked to play on the computer. So I let them get on the computer, taking 15 minute turns, while I went upstairs and cleaned 90% of the master bathroom (the dirtiest 90%). I also started doing laundry. And made pancakes for the kids.

Denis came back and is making his side dish for tonight’s small group dinner. We were unable to secure a babysitter (they’ve all gone home for the Xmas holiday) and so he’ll be going alone and I’ll stay home with the kids. CG is still on the computer and I’ve now got CB set up to play a little Lego Batman on the Wii, which we haven’t done in a while. I’ve got the laptop revved up for a little websurfing.

Tonight after the kids go to bed I’ll work on Mr. BIL’s Christmas gift. I may also make a blanket to put up in my shop. We’ll see if I feel like doing that when the time comes.

Finished watching that third “Pirates” movie. The last 30-45 minutes saved the first hour plus. It was NOT very good. Glad I didn’t go see it in the theater like I did the first two. I sent the other Netflix movie back that we got yesterday. It was a kids’ movie but we had just seen it on TV about two months ago and it was pretty bad, so I literally sealed up the envelope as soon as I saw what it was. Talk about quick turnaround! *lol*

So I’m up to 101 friends on Facebook. I was surprised when an old boyfriend friended me the other day – we didn’t exactly part on friendly terms when we broke up. However, I guess 18 years is long enough to let bygones be bygones (although I admit that there’s another old boyfriend out there that I see on Facebook (because he’s friended by two of my friends) and it grates on my nerves to see HIM on there even if I’m not friended with him). In any event, it has been fun catching up with him and he swears he’s not the sarcastic SOB he was in college.
