We’re Here to Make The Pigs Itch

Today is a Great Day

Posted on | April 11, 2008 | 4 Comments

Today is a good day.

  • It’s Friday.
  • I’m officially down 22.5 lbs having lost 1.5 in the past few days once I recommited myself and stopped being lazy about calorie counting. I’m now only 7.5 lbs away from my first goal.
  • I just gave a nice sized tithe (representing 1/4 of my commitment to tithe 10% in 2008) to the new plant church that our NoNJ old church started about a year ago in Hoboken.
  • I just made a significant payment on one of my credit cards and reduced my *entire* credit card debt total by 19.5%!
  • I was also able to restore some money to our Disney fund.
  • We received a generous donation to help cover the cost of replacing our leaky water heater, but will most likely be giving that back. Details on the reasons why to come!

So you can see why today is a good day in CootiehogLand. How about you? Are you having a good day?

You should remind everyone that we cashed in our whole life insurance policies to do all this. We now have term life insurance policies. So most of this money was ours, just didn’t have it available to us until now.

I was going to do that in a separate post.

You sound so delighted, Jaynee! :-)
      Great news!
Do you feel lighter in spirit, as well as body, with the debt and tithing situations taken care of? Your weight loss is amazing, even with the slip-ups. :-)

      That’s great.

It’s been a good day for the Speaks family as well – I had a customer come by for a clasp change on her bracelet. While here she bought something new. And when I got back to the computer it was to find a sale in my Etsy shop.

And I was able to do a $15 PPP this morning, too.
