I have it set for ONE button to turn everything on or off in the proper sequence. The notes on the setup are for reestablishment of the wiring to let that ONE button work if I have to reconfigure it for any reason. Now I will admit that if you want to shift from the DVR to the DVD player it requires two remotes, but that is a limitation on the inputs of the DVR that has to be the master device and having a fancy control center won't make that any easier. And I've been lazy about programming the DVD into the one master controller because we don't watch that many DVDs on that set up. I take umbrage at your comment about the theater system.
